Tom

Tom is dead
Long live Tom
"Sorry folks, park's closed. Moose out front should've told ya."
Not exactly. The park was technically still open, but we had visions of what it would be like setting up camp in the midst of a steady downpour. Possibly an epic argument. Or two.

Probably more.

Since the downpour started before we left early Friday morning, and the forecast for rain was 100 percent for Saturday and Sunday, we decided to scrap our four-day trip. So now I have the opportunity to catch up and write a blog post about all the spooky-ass cemeteries we've been encountering on our camping trips.

Today's cemetery is located at the Rocky Bluff Campground, just outside of Hot Springs, NC.

As soon as I saw the tombstone above, I came up with a fun little scenario. My Nancy Drewish heroine would be playing with her cousin in the campground when they would stumble upon this hidden graveyard. A graveyard completely filled with - yikes! - guys named Tom.

Over a long holiday weekend, they would investigate and find out that there wasn't a single dude named Tom in Hot Springs who was still alive.

What's happening to all the Toms?

Tom?

Tune in next week to find out.
